Margaret has been singing for as long as she can remember. As the youngest of six siblings growing up in Scotland and then Ireland she was often pulled from behind the couch to sing with the others at their various family gatherings. As reluctant as she may have seemed at the time it became obvious as she grew into a young woman that her ability to sing was not something that should be hidden.

After immigrating to Canada in 1983 from Northern Ireland, it wasn't very long until she surrendered her life to Jesus and so began the adventure of faith that she has given her life to. Her singing gift has progressively moved to the forefront in the ministry to which she has been called.

In 1990 Margaret stepped into full-time ministry along side her husband Richard to plant a new church and take on the role of senior leaders at Harvest Christian Fellowship Church in Calgary, AB. It soon became apparent that Margaret had great vision to build the worship ministry at the church and over the years the vision has been blessed. From small beginnings, where it was Margaret on vocals and her husband on guitar, the worship team at Harvest has grown to over 40 musicians with 4 teams and 6 gifted worship leaders. Margaret’s vision is not contained in the local church as she loves to go out and take teams to other places to help them grow into their gifting both musically and spiritually.

As a worship leader; Margaret’s passion is to draw others into the presence of God and she does that in such a gentle and inviting way that people from every background are touched and impacted as they experience God’s peace and presence in way’s that they may not have experienced before. Margaret also loves to encourage new and upcoming singers to become the very best they can be. Through teaching workshops, seminars and by making room for new singers to activate their gift she has been instrumental in helping many take steps of faith towards their purpose.

Margaret has been called upon to lead worship at various conferences and events, some have been small intimate gatherings and others have been large city events like the Global Day of Prayer which packed more than 12,000 people into the Olympic Saddledome in downtown Calgary. She has had the privilege of working with other gifted worship leaders like Robin Mark, Brian Doerksen, Kent Henry, Steve Fry, and Lamar Boshman. Margaret’s abilities have developed in other directions as well; she has become a much sought after teacher and mentor in the areas of Worship and Spiritual Growth and has had many opportunities to speak and teach at various gatherings in Canada, U.S.A. and Ireland.

Margaret and her husband Richard birthed the vision for the Rivers of Worship equipping conferences which have been held in Calgary periodically over the past seven years. Some of the guest ministries that have helped make the conferences just a huge success have included Robin Mark, Paul Reid, Priscilla Reid, Will McFarlane, Keith Hazell and many others.

Margaret continues to live in Calgary, Alberta, Canada with her husband Richard. They have two grown children; Christopher (23) is marrried to Ginelle and lives in Calgary and Meaghan (21) is living at home but getting married on December 20th.
